Stefanie A., Comprehensive Care Coordinator
Originally from Southern Arizona, Stefanie has enjoyed a career in dentistry since 1996. Her experience includes 15 years as a dental assistant and 15 years as a treatment coordinator. What she finds most rewarding is building relationships with patients, easing their dental fears, and helping them understand their treatment so they can feel confident about their care.
Family is an important part of Stefanie’s life. She is close to her seven siblings and is a proud mom to a 23-year-old son who works as an orthodontic assistant. In her free time, she loves baking sourdough, reading, traveling with her sisters, and strength training. Stefanie is also a colon cancer survivor and has a special interest in raising awareness.
Brenda M., Registered Dental Hygienist
Brenda grew up in Tempe, Arizona, and studied at Northern Arizona University, where she graduated cum laude in 2000. She returned to NAU as a clinical instructor while also working in private practice, and she was also a member of one of the boards for the Arizona Dental Association.
Brenda has been working with Dr. Walden since 2009. She says, “I love clinical hygiene. I have created many, many relationships with my patients and love being able to improve their oral and sometimes physical health.”
Brenda loves spending time with her husband, two grown stepchildren, and 8-year-old grandson. Soon a Yorkie pup named Maizel will join the family. Brenda also enjoys reading.
Alina B., Registered Dental Hygienist
Alina was born and raised here in Arizona, and she graduated from Northern Arizona University with a bachelor’s of science in dental hygiene. She’s been a registered dental hygienist for 17 years and has been obsessed with smiles since she was young. She also loves connecting with people and is motivated every day by the relationships she’s formed over the years with her patients.
Alina says:
“It’s an incredible feeling to help someone get their teeth and gums back to good health and see the happiness and confidence they gain.”
When she’s not at the office, Alina enjoys hiking, reading, and especially family time. She and her husband have been married for 22 years and have three sons and a daughter, all of whom play sports. The family also cherishes their yellow Lab, Sunny.
Lexie C., Registered Dental Assistant
Lexie is from Mesa and has been a dental assistant for 17 years. She’s an alumnus of Westwood High School and Pima Medical Institute. She says, “I have had an interest in teeth since I was young. They are one of the first things people see.” It’s fulfilling for Lexie to see patients achieve the smile they’ve always wanted.
Lexie is newly married to her best friend, Eli, and enjoys spending time with him and his daughter, Katie. They have two wonderful and crazy dogs, Daisy and Ollie. Lexie’s hobbies include sewing, crocheting, four-wheeling, and camping.
Brittney G., Dental Assistant
Amanda, an Arizona native from Mesa, became a dental assistant after her son’s first dental checkup inspired her to enter the field. She loves seeing the results of restorative dentistry and making a difference in patients’ lives.
Outside of work, Amanda loves spending time with her husband, two children, and their dog, DeSoto. She enjoys thrifting and exploring new coffee shops.
Amanda K., Registered Dental Assistant
A Mesa native, Brittney has worked as a dental assistant since 2011. She attended Carrington College and was drawn to dentistry by her desire to help others feel good about their smiles. She especially enjoys helping nervous patients feel at ease and making their time in the dental chair a more positive experience.
When Brittney isn’t at the office, life revolves around her three boys and two girls who keep her busy and motivated. Her family spends plenty of time at Little League baseball and softball, where Brittney also serves on the board of directors for Mesa American Little League as concessions manager. She also has two dogs, Snoopy and Gucci, who add to her busy household.
Jannette V., Insurance Coordinator
Jannette comes from Morgan Hill, California. She enjoys dentistry and provides a unique set of skills that help the office run smoothly. Jannette is married and has two children. In her free time, she likes camping in the sand dunes with her family and riding in their Sandrail.
Maryann D., Billing Coordinator
Maryann was born in Chicago and raised in Jordan. She moved to sunny Arizona in 2014. She has a bachelor’s degree in psychology and began her career in dentistry while working with her brother, who is a dentist. As a billing coordinator since 2021, she enjoys working behind the scenes with insurance companies to help patients maximize their benefits and make their dental experience as smooth as possible.
Maryann is married and has three sons. Outside the office, she enjoys cooking and baking, listening to music, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. She especially loves exploring Arizona’s mountains, lakes, and creeks and taking family trips to the beach.
Shauna B., Hygiene Coordinator
Originally from Oregon, Shauna has been a hygiene coordinator since 2009 and moved to Arizona in 2017. She finds fulfillment in connecting with patients and supporting their care.
Life at home is lively with her husband, five children, and labradoodle, Nala. When schedules allow, her family enjoys making memories together during Disney trips.
Katie W., Treatment Coordinator
Katie has worked as a treatment coordinator since 2019 and joined Walden & Beavers Dental Group in 2026. Born and raised in Arizona, Katie is married and enjoys spending time with her husband, their five children, one grandchild, two dogs, and one cat.
